Choirs



The Music Department of St. Paul has much to offer all age groups and interests.


Senior Choir
bulletDirected by Mike Rugen who is also the Music Director at Homewood-Flossmoor High School.
bulletPractice time is Thursday nights from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the music room of the church. No audition is necessary. Just show up ready to sing.
bulletSings almost every Sunday morning from the last week in August to the first week in June.
bulletPerforms two special concerts a year. These cantatas or other special musical collections usually take up most of the time allotted for the 11 a.m. services on those dates. One is scheduled to be performed near Christmas and one is scheduled in the spring, shortly after Easter.

 

Bell Choir
bulletDirected by Ernest Jones.
bulletPractice time is Thursday night from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. in the music room of the church.
bulletPerforms one Sunday per month.

 

HeavenSent and
Glory Bound
bulletA choir for teenaged young men and young women.  They usually perform music that is somewhat more contemporary than that performed by the Senior Choir.
bulletDirected by Linda Brainard, pianist par excellence.

bulletPractice is on Thursday nights from 6:15 - 7:15 p.m. in the Chapel, starting October 3.
bulletPerforms one Sunday per month.

 

Youth Choir
bulletA choir for children who are in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
bulletDirected by Laura Lilly, Cindy Gdalman and Linda Brainard.
bulletPractice is on Sunday morning from 9:45 - 10:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.
bulletPerforms once per month, usually on Community Sunday.

 

Organist

Rarely seen, but always heard with great appreciation, is our organist, Mr. Gene Mudra.
